Cahir Park welcomed neighbours Clonmel Town to the Park for this eagerly awaited clash.
Both teams started well with Cahir dominating the early exchanges ,with both Rhys O Regan and the energetic Rhys Byron missing early chances.
Town had a decent chance to take the lead after 30 minutes but for a sharp save from Park keeper Dominik Mlynczak
Then the moment that changed the game,Sean Murphy took command of the ball in midfield, drove forward and from 25 yards hit an unstoppable shot to the top corner of the net giving the Town keeper no chance to put the Park 1-0 up on 44 minutes.
The second half started with Town on the front foot and should have equalised but for a fine save with his feet from the Cahir Park Keeper.
This was the spur that Cahir needed.
With some clever play Rhys Byron struck the Park's second on 50 minutes followed by some lovely individual skill from the busy Kieran Lambert who put the Park 3-0 up with a lovely finish to the top left hand corner on 54 minutes.
The game was over as a contest when on 60 minutes Dawid Jaros Karnia weaved his way through the Town defence to put the Park 4-0 up.
This was how the game finished.
Special mention to David Brannigan and the influential David Murphy who gave a masterclass in the Centre of the Cahir Park defence.
