On Friday night last almost 200 club members traveled to the Aviva stadium to see Ireland take on Wales and to remember our dear friend Pat Kinsella. Pat was remembered in the match day programme on Friday night.
Pat played for the club in the 60s and early 70s and was groundsman for many years. Pat was a skilled wood Turner and presented the club with a beautiful timber bowl in the clubs centenary year 2010. He also presented one to then Ireland manager Giovani Trapattoni. Pat was held in high esteem by all and is greatly missed but will not be forgotten by those of us who had the privilege to work with him. To his wife Sadie, daughters Rhoda and Ann and sons Freddie and John we extend our sincere sympathy in there great loss. We hope you took some comfort seeing how highly regarded Pat was and we would like to thank John Delaney and those at the FAI for remembering Pat on Friday night.
