Boil Water Notice for Ardfinnan Regional Water Supply Scheme
A boil water notice has been issued for the Ardfinnan Regional Water Supply Scheme. Cahir News has learned from Cllr Máirín McGrath that due to operational issues with the treatment process at Goatenbridge Water Treatment Plant which has been caused by heavy rainfall overnight, and following consultation with the Health Service Executive, Uisce Éireann, and Tipperary County Council, the boil water notice has been issued with immediate effect.
It is not known when the notice will expire, but an official notice is expected soon from Uisce Éireann (Irish Water).
Affected areas include the following: Ardfinnan and surrounding areas, Grange, Knocklofty, Newcastle, Ballyclerihan, Cahir (Clonmel side of the bridge, Tipperary Road, Mitchelstown Road [R913]), Ballingarrane (as far as the Cahir Road Roundabout in Clonmel), Market Hill, Red City area (Fethard) and Kilnmack, Co. Waterford.
Graigue Group Water Scheme, supplied by the Ardfinnan Public Water Supply is also affected by this Boil Water Notice.
